Round... um... 5?

Hey,
I can't believe it is almost the end of 2010!  What is even more amazing is that I've kept up semi-regularly on this blog... those of you that know me, know that I lose interest in "journaling" or whatever quickly and then have huge gaps in between entries...But somehow...blogging is different.

I had a great weekend, life got back to "normal" since all the snow has melted.  This weekend started out great with Matt getting a ride all the way home and early! On Saturday I had coffee with a friend I hadn't seen since my wedding day 3 yrs ago! (Hi Kara)... things seem to get going well in her life.  I can't believe my 10 yr high school reunion will be this summer... how scary is that?!  Then on Sunday I got to go down to my brother in law's and sister in law's for brunch and to meet their cousin.  I had never met her before, and Matt hadn't seen her in 10 or 11 years!  The funny thing is that we will get to see her again in couple days when we go down to Florida!  So it was an early treat to see her and I am excited to spend some more time with her.  It was also great to see my brother/sister in law...we hadn't seen them since July!  Oh the busy lives we lead and my niece and nephew are getting so big and grown up!  My niece even lost a tooth after we left!  My mother in law was there too, and it's always great to spend some time with her, she is a very kind soul.

Yesterday was full of annoyances... I finally took a full day "real subject" middle school sub job in the public school system.  It started at 7:am... I arrive, get the key, go down to the classroom, only to meet the teacher, who was equally as surprised as I.  She cancelled the job a week and a half ago, but the person who was supposed to actually cancel it, forgot... So, I woke up at 5:45am for nothing, only to drive back home... at least I got paid for 4 hours...which is a nice compensation.  Then I was finally able to go to the doctor for my mid-cycle check up.  My appointment was for 3:45... it was 4:45 by the time I got in there... "sigh"  oh well.. The doctor seemed really hopeful and liked what she was seeing... It's a really good thing that my body is kinda getting back into working order by ovulating and menstruating.  My cycle was even 1 month long from one period to the next!  I've never had that before (well, not in a long long time, think middle school).  During the ultrasound my doctor found a really good sized egg, the biggest so far at over 20mm... yay!  So when I went to the pharmacy yesterday to get my Ovidrel, they didn't have it, but at least they were able to get it in by today... still have to pick it up and have Matt administer it to me... oh the joys!  So, I will either be preggers or having aunt flo visit me on our vacation...wouldn't it be cool to find out on Christmas that we're going to be parents?! LOL

Anywho.. that's it for now; hope all are well!  Oh!  That isn't, I just found out that two of my oldest friends are pregnant... I am so happy for them and for their growing families!  I pray that everything goes smoothly with their pregnancies and they are happy and healthy and blessed beyond their wildest dreams!

Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow!

Wow, it's been awhile hasn't it?  Sorry for neglecting the blog for so long...but life has been exciting around here...  We had our first snow of the year (it didn't snow at all last year) and we were kinda stuck at home for a few days. I was afraid that I wouldn't get to go to Matt's parent's for Thanksgiving!   But alas, we made it, and it was a great time, full of family and good food.  We even ran into some of our really great friends at the grocery store... :)

Other than freezing my tucus off, I've been eagerly anticipating our trip to Disney World.  We still have to buy our park tickets though...I'm stressing about that a little bit... but I find that I've been anxious about a lot of things lately... mainly the trip, and bills and where we are going to live once our lease is up in April... but "this too shall pass."  It's all in God's hands...and I just have to remember that I'm the passenger, not the driver...  I guess I'm stressed about money b/c I will wind up with a very much smaller paycheck b/c a few of my sub jobs got cancelled due to snow...and it's just frustrating this time of year because of all the school breaks I don't get paid for. Matt will tell me we are fine, and to quit worrying...but I can't help it...it's what I do.

Anyways,  as far as baby news... I did wind up taking more Femara... I was supposed to go in for my mid-cycle  ultrasound last Wednesday, but um.. snow...so I had to reschedule for this Monday after my sub job.  Hopefully everything will turn out okay.

That's it for now, I'm going to clean up some dishes and go for a walk and keep on scrapbooking... I'm almost done with my senior year of college!  It's so trippy looking back at all the pictures and feeling like they weren't that long ago, but they were at least 5 years ago... kinda makes me sad, and at the same time kinda cool because I look back at the pictures and I know where their life stories have taken most of them...and it's kinda cool.  I've been so blessed to have these people in my life; especially the NCCMers/Shalomers.

I want chocolate chip cookies!

I thought I would revisit the reason why I write in this blog...for some of you that are new to reading it.  I began  this blog as a way for me to not only tell my family's story/journey to getting pregnant and having a child...but also to help those who may be experiencing the same plight.  It also serves as my family blog...but in order to keep true to my full experiences, I will be sharing more than  normally, not because I want people to feel sorry for me or b/c I want "attention" for what I "go through."...but in hopes that I might bring comfort to all who are trying to conceive.  With that said, I try to warn you when I am about to over share. :)

So.... now will be one of those times... I'm about to over share now... consider yourself warned. :)

So, today I got my period.  I thought I would be more disappointed, but I'm not...  Of course I would've loved to find out that I was pregnant, but my period came... on its own!  This hasn't happened in over a year!  It's just one step closer to getting my cycle back to normal.... I'm wondering whether to continue with the treatment for this month (getting the rx for Femara to make sure I ovulate).... or see if nature will take over yet...  I am going to Disney World next month...it'd be nice to be able to ride the rides without worrying if I might  be pregnant or not...but at the same time I already came to terms with that fact.  I dunno but at the same time I think I need to keep things "going" because maybe if I take a month off, it will take that much longer to get things started up all over again.  I'm waiting to hear back from the nurse to see what she thinks should happen...

Hope all are doing well!

Harry Potter Marathon Weekend

Hi All,
I hope people are enjoying their weekend.  Matt and I were for the most part complete homebodies this weekend.  We decided to watch all the Harry Potter movies... Now I will be ready for when the new movie opens this week... whenever we will get to see it that is.  I feel like my life has all the sudden been surrounded by Harry Potter... we went to the exhibition last weekend... we watched the movies this weekend, this week the movie opens and in a little over a month we will be in Florida to experience the theme park...  The funny thing, I can't even stand the books!  I tried to read the first book, and I literally kept falling asleep while reading them...I think I made it through 1/2 of the book... But my hubby tells me that after the 3rd book it gets really good... we'll see. :)  Kinda funny I never realized that book covers were different in different countries until I saw the cover for a Harry Potter book in London when I went in '05... I don't know why, it just never occurred to me.

So it has been a nice weekend, I think we were up till 3:30am watching movies...and we woke up, watched one more and we have one more that we will probably save for after church this evening...  Good times.  I even got some scrap booking done... it's been awhile since that has happened as well.

I'm looking forward to getting some work this week.  I wanna be back in the classroom...but I'm not going to be picky... I will even do childcare jobs... we will need the $ after getting back from Florida.

Anywho.. that's all for now. :)

More than you wanted to know...

I think the title speaks for itself... if you don't like TMI's...then don't read. :)

I'm tired of feeling like I have to pee every 20 minutes and then only going "tinkle tinkle"... then it's done!

Also...I'm not only irritable,  but I'm emotional... I watched a couple of lil you tube videos and I started friggin' crying!  what the heck!?

Just more signs that lead me to believe that I'm either losing it or I might actually in fact be preggers... or I am PMSing... ugh

Blood Results

Warning, if you don't wanna read about my female anatomy... you might want to skip this entry. :)  You have been forewarned!

Ok, so I got to talk to my doctor's  nurse and she confirmed that I indeed ovulated this last time... yay!  But my ladies' soreness have subsided.  Not sure what that means...They are a little tender, but nowhere near what it was the previous week.  I am still feeling bloating and there are some twinges and pressure in my uterus and I've had some back pain...  I can't test until the 22nd... so I have to wait 10 more days...  I wish time moved quicker. :)  In the mean time I've enjoyed having a couple days off and hanging out around home.

Anywho... Until next time... have a great day!

New Day...New Hope

Hellooo,
So I did get my blood results back and they said that my progesterone levels were within normal range... which I am usually deficient in my progesterone levels... it was just the office personnel that called, so I need to call back today and find out exactly what that means for me and what steps I need to take next.  As far as symptoms... they were there yesterday and especially last night!  I think I wasn't experiencing them as much b/c I was sitting down and not moving as much...but at the end of the day, the ladies are hurting and there was bloating...  I just need to stop obsessing about it...  Whatever will be will be.

I will write more when I talk with the nurse to find out my next septs...

Busy Busy Busy...

 Hello All,
How goes it?  I'm doing okay.  I feel lazy today, and in a way, I don't feel bad about it since I did a lot of cleaning the past few days... but I have to drive my mom to a couple of appointments today... le sigh... At least There is no school tomorrow or Friday and I can for sure have those two days off...

Ok, now for baby news...(Skip if you are worried about TMI stuff...)

So yesterday when I took my BBT, my temperature went up .4!  It was hovering between 97.17-97.20 and then in one day shot up to 97.80!  I was looking up stuff online on it said I could be experiencing a 'Triphasic' pattern in my temperature shift... this sometimes points to pregnancy... it comes around the time the egg implants into the Uterus... This morning however... my temperature went back down to 97.18... SO I dunno what it can mean...

My ladies were very sore yesterday, very full feeling...but today it has dulled a lot... and the bloating feeling has kind of subsided... I still feel bubbles here and there...but I dunno... It's not as though I ever knew that I was pregnant in the first place...I just went off feelings...but with these symptoms subsiding or not feeling as intense... I just hope it doesn't mean miscarriage...  I do still feel nauseous and lazy.. and I've noticed my appetite has gone up a little bit...but I'm making sure to eat lil meals, and incorporate a lot of fruit/veggies (more sore than normal)...  I wonder if it is normal to have these symptoms and then they back off a little bit (not disappearing all the way, but not as intense) is normal...Is it something I should be concerned about... I dunno...  I am kinda glad my ladies don't hurt as much since it was hard even having a t-shirt touch them...  I also notice that symptoms are a lot stronger either when I first wake up or in the evening... I wonder if that is normal as well... Maybe I'm just all weird... there is no explanation for me. :P

Ok, back to the normal entry... The inspection for the house went well yesterday... although the landlord kept pointing out normal wear and tear stuff... and things that we don't have to keep up... (i.e.  spraying the roof with moss killer?)  He didn't mention whether or not he was planning on selling the place (although why would you in this economy?).  I can't wait to get a house of our own...which might be sooner that Matt or I ever would've thought!  We are currently going through the process right now and it sounds like we might be able to get approved for a loan... yay!  It's scary...but I want a dog.... (oh, I'm only allowed to have a dog if we have our own place...so that is my motivation :P )

In happy news, only 38 more days till Disney World!  I can't wait, and although I cannot go on rides (if I do indeed turn out to be preggers), it should still be fun and a great experience!  After all we have great company coming along with us... I just feel like we have so much left to do! Argh... :)

Ok, that's it for now, I hope all are doing well and will write again soon!

Energy Lacking...

Today was a beautiful, crisp fall day!  Too bad i was stuck inside cleaning all day.. I am exhausted.  I did leave for about 30 min to get my blood test done.  Then we will know for sure if I ovulated... but I'm pretty sure I did b/c I still feel all bloated and my ladies are sore...yes, that's right, I called them ladies...you can call them whatever you want (not mine mind you)....  I still have a dull ache in the bottom right side of my back... it's weird.  Its not always there...but I feel all "bubbly" in my uterus and like I have no energy...yet it is supposedly "too soon" to have these symptoms if I am pregnant...  I have had symptoms kinda like these (sore ladies and cramps) but they usually go away after a day or two...this has been going on for almost a week!  We shall see what happens...

Tomorrow our house is getting inspected by the owners of our house.  They are nice people, but I'm a little tired of the inspections... we just had one in Sept. by the property management company...I just hope they don't try to sell the place while we are still here...  Maybe that is why God has blessed us with some good news that we might be able to get a house loan after all and start looking for a place to live... I am excited if that is the case, but I also don't want to bite off more than we can chew either...  Sometimes it's so scary being a grown-up. :)

Maybe I'm Not "Broken" After All...

So I actually Ovulated!  For the first time since I dunno when! :)  So maybe Femara actually worked for me.  I know it seems silly...but I do feel like I might be pregnant.  It's way too early to tell and way too early to be able to have "signs" of being pregnant... but I've also heard that "when you know... you know."  It could be the progesterone just taking over giving me "cramps" and a warm bloated feeling in the uterus, but it feels different too... If I was pregnant, implantation hasn't even begun... but other areas of my body are sore as well... so I will see in a week or so after I take a pregnancy test.  Tomorrow I take a blood test to see if I actually "ovulated" and to check my progesterone levels.

I know a lot of this is wishful hoping, but I have a good feeling... even if I don't wind up being pregnant right now, it's the best result I've gotten since being on meds to help us get pregnant... It's a step in the right direction.

My Life has many Hiccups...not all are bad :)

So, just as my grandma is back home and doing, fairly well... I now have more things that have piled on... This morning upon waking up I read an e-mail and was notified that the owners of the house wanted to come by and inspect... We just got inspected in late Sept.  I sure hope they aren't going to sell the place while we live in it... That would mean that people would be walking in and out of our house all the time... *le sigh*

On a good note, I got my Partylite stuff!  So my living room has exploded with candles and other candle like things.  Smells good in my house! :)  I also finished my book... called Juliet.. such a great read!  It really is one of the best books I have read in a long time!  I highly encourage people to read it... even guys... it's a good mystery!

On top of it, my hubby took me to get teriyaki chicken tonight... my fav.  He's the best...and he took me to get a piece of chocolate cake too (I was jonesin' for one so bad!)

Avert your eyes, if you don't like to hear about pregnancy stuff... :)

I'm pretty sure I'm about to ovulate!  For the first time (since I"ve been checking/tracking) I had CM that was egg white consistency and way stretchy!  It was so cool!  The human body is amazing!

So hopefully a lil goober is on its way!  Next week I will have a blood test, and will find out if my progesterone levels have gone up... yay blood tests...

All Systems Go! (I hope...)

I think my Ovidrel shot has actually worked this time.  I am feeling small pains/pressure in my ovary...  so yay!  I haven't had that before when I was given that shot.  I hope my BBT goes up tomorrow morning and my suspicions will be confirmed! I feel like I'm closer than ever to conceiving!

My grandma got to come home today!  So that is some other good news...

I hope you got out to vote today!

Weekend Update + Girlie Parts pt. 2!

Hello peeps!  I hope everyone is doing well... I just wanted to take some time to bring you up to speed about what has been going on with me.

Friday- Friday was great... I got to got visit my grandma and spend some time with her.  She looked really great, although she needed to lay down for a rest a couple of times.  She of course, asked me what I was up to and told me I was too busy and that I needed to slow down so Matt and I could have babies... that was, according to her, "my job".  LOL  I then took the time to explain to her what I've been going through (the abridged version of course).  My mom and I left my grandma feeling good about how she was doing and we were certain she was on the mend.  Later in the evening Matt and I along with some other youth group leaders took some of our church's teens to a haunted corn maze.  I was really surprised that there was no line and close parking! Wasn't this Halloween Weekend?  The maze was alright...I'm glad I went, there were too many guys running around with chain saws (way over done!)  but there were some neat parts where hydrolics were used on a bridge and people running around with limbs that had been removed by the chain saw massacre.  After the maze, we finished the night by eating some snacks and watching Hocus Pocus.  It was great to spend some time with a few teens and building relationships with them.  I think one of the teens wore a permanent dent in my hand from holding it so hard... it was cute.

Saturday-  Saturday started out rough.  My voice was gone and I kept coughing up nasty stuff...  I was happy that I cancelled our Halloween Party (I was too exhausted...and like I explained to Matt, I had nothing left to give after the week I had had).  I rested most of the day, but wound up making some snacks and a couple of friends came over to watch a couple of movies.  I was still feeling under the weather, but the gathering was low key enough that I was able to get my rest.

Sunday- I was called early in the morning and told that my grandma had yet again been rushed to the hospital.  This time her leg had gone numb...I had another rough start as far as health went, I wasn't coughing up anything nasty this time, I just didn't have a voice.  But after some much needed tea, I was ready to go and soon my mom and I were off down to where my grandma was at.  She wasn't doing well yesterday, she just wasn't herself.  Her blood pressure was too high and today they are still having a tough time keeping her blood pressure down.  The nurse that was taking care of her wasn't that nice to her, but at the same time she was being firm with her and wouldn't let my gma talk to her any way she wanted...which sometimes some people need...but not when her blood pressure was over 220!  The nurse needed to know when to back off and give it a rest for a bit.  Again, I didn't get to go to church, which made me sad...but I'm glad I got to spend some time with family.

Monday-Today I got to do a fun study at Microsoft all the while I was cursing myself for making it at 8am!  I was so tired and the rain and traffic didn't help either.  But I am glad I got to get Windows 7 for doing it! :)  Then it was off to my OB to check up on my girlie parts.  After waiting for 45 minutes in a cold exam room I finally got good news and was told that I had an egg that was worthy of ovulation!  My OB didn't understand why the last OB that was filling in for her couldn't find my ovaries or see that my lining was thick... My normal OB told me that I was fine...and, the plus... no peek-a-boo ovaries!  I then had to go and get my Ovidrel shot and go back to the doctor to get it administered...  I always hate it when I get that shot b/c it makes me feel loopy and sick... Part of that might have been that it was 1pm and I hadn't eaten yet (only had tea and apple cider)...So I came home, ate, and napped until 4:30pm!  I couldn't believe how tired I was... but I do feel a lot better...just run down.  I blame all the rain.  We broke a record today...I know big surprise in the Pacific NW. So now I will ovulate and hopefully this one will work out and I can finally tell my gma she doesn't need to worry about me being too busy to make a baby! LOL  My OB told me I needed to not be so stressed out and it was okay if I said no sometimes, even if it meant people wouldn't be happy and things wouldn't get done...but it's hard when you're not in the situation I am in when so many people depend on you...so I dunno... I try to lay low.

Speaking of my grandma, I just talked to her on the phone... sounded a lot better and had a test done that we are awaiting the results for... so hopefully it will turn out good and she will get to come home tomorrow!

I hope all of you guys are well and are having a good day.

Till  next time...
